MARKET ANALYSIS OF STEM CELLS TRANSPLANTATION
The global stem cell therapy market was estimated to be worth $205.1 million in 2021 and is expected to be worth $928.6 million by 2031, growing at a CAGR of 16.2% between 2022 and 2031. Stem cells are the raw materials from which all other cells with specialized functions are generated in the body. Stem cell therapy, also known as gene therapy, enhances the repair response of infected, inadequate, or wounding tissue by using stem cells or their derivatives. It is the next step in organ transplantation and uses cells rather than donor organs, which are in short supply. In a laboratory, stem cells are grown. These stem cells are programmed to become specific types of cells, such as heart muscle cells and blood cells. The cells may also be implanted into people. If the individual has cardiovascular disease, the cells could be induced into the heart muscle. The healthy heart muscle cells that were transplanted could then help to repair the injured heart muscle. Stem cells are replaced with damaged cells by chemotherapy or serve as a way for the donor's immune system to fight certain types of cancer and blood-related diseases such as leukemia, lymphoma, neuroblastoma, and multiple myeloma. In these transplants, mature stem cells or blood from the umbilical cord are used.
The stem cell therapy market is divided into three sections: Cell Source, Application, and Type. The market is divided into three sections based on cell source: adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells, bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells, cord blood/embryonic stem cells, and other cell sources. Cancer, musculoskeletal disorders, wounds and injuries, cardiovascular diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, and other applications comprise the market. The market is divided into two types: allogeneic transplants and autologous transplants. Furthermore, allogeneic transplants are divided into pediatric and adult categories. Also, autologous transplants are divided into pediatric and adult categories. The market is studied across North America (the United States, Canada, and Mexico), Europe (Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, and the Rest of Europe), Asia-Pacific (China, Japan, Australia, India, South Korea, and the Rest of Asia-Pacific), and Latin America (LAMEA) (Brazil, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, and Rest of LAMEA).
