Alexander Birbrair has completed his B.S., Biomedical Science in the Universidade Estadual de Santa Cruz, Brazil and has completed his post doctoral research in the field of Stem cell biology in the year 2016. Currently he is working as Professor in the Department of Pathology, Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil. He has been the recipient of Gordon A. Melson Outstanding Doctoral Student Award for 2015 and has been elected as Affiliated Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences in the year 2017. He has also been honored with several other awards right from 2006.
